World Should Welcome Barack Obama’s Nuclear Push

0 comments
To hear Mr Obama’s critics, you would think precious little. For all its glitz, they say, this week’s huge summit was largely a restatement of policies that have been languishing because they are unenforceable. Likewise, the administration’s declaration that it would not unleash nukes on non-weapons states that lived by the rules of the Nuclear Non-Proliferation Treaty (NPT) was criticised either for being unwise (because it curtailed deterrence against biological and chemical weapons), or misleading (because it is so full of loopholes that it does not curtail deterrence much at all. And although the START treaty with Russia was good enough, all three events missed the main point: the threat of proliferation from hostile,unbiddable states like Iran.The world should welcome Barack Obama’s nuclear push—but it is only a start.

Can You See 3D Movies Without Glasses ?

0 comments
The huge success of 3D movies like “Avatar”, “Clash of the Titans” and “Alice in Wonderland” has led scientists to explore possibilities of developing 3D technology that does not require glasses. Japanese companies supplying 3D technology and services to Hollywood production houses have said they hope to see their goods having an impact on people’s day-to-day lives within the next few years, and that further development in the technology will lower prices and makes the experience affordable for commoners, Xinhua reported.
However, before that happens, there are still a few problems that need to be solved. A ‘glasses-free’ 3D technology produced by a Japanese company has induced headaches, even if they were impressive.

Seven years after Indian liqour baron Vijay Mallya bought a sword of Tipu Sultan, a majestic sabre of the Mysore king fetched 505,250 pounds at a Sotheby's auction in London.
The 200-year-old sword was estimated to go under the hammer for 50,000-70,000 pounds. It was eventually sold on Wednesday at nearly 10 times that estimate.
According to the auction house, there are a very small number of sword hilts, such as the one auctioned, which have a pronounced tiger theme that was a mark of Tipu's ownership.
Another highlight of the auction was a rare Indian bronze cannon cast at the Mysore king's royal foundry. This artefact from around 1790 AD was bought by an anonymous buyer at 313,250 pounds.

Meant for Classes IX and X, the new policy will raise the grades of students in one or two academic subjects if they do well in extra curricular areas.

Developing countries are competing on creativity as well as cost. That will change business everywhere
For every ailment under the sun,
There is a remedy, or there is none;
If there be one, try to find it;
If there be none, never mind it.

Company of good people is like a shop of perfume. Whether you buy it or not, you are bound to receive the frangrance!

THIRTY years ago the bosses of America’s car industry were shocked to learn that Japan had overtaken America to become the world’s leading car producer. They were even more shocked when they visited Japan to find out what was going on. They found that the secret of Japan’s success did not lie in cheap labour or government subsidies (their preferred explanations) but in what was rapidly dubbed “lean manufacturing”. While Detroit slept, Japan had transformed itself from a low-wage economy into a hotbed of business innovation. Soon every factory around the world was lean—or a ruin.

0 comments

(A Path of Glorious Future)

Any one can never make a comparison of Government Service with anything. Where ever the question about Indian Engineering Services, actually these have very high position. Here, you play a role in a making a plan and executing it not for money, for any person but your beloved country and their people.
Like Civil Servants in India, the Engineers recruited through Indian Engineering Services get very high honors in government and society. At present government is spending more than 15 percent of India's GDP in Engineering. Given the extent of tasks and functions managed by the public sector this extends to a fairly broad segment of the economy covering the Railroads, Military, Public works, Power, Telecommunications, etc.
Government of India recruits its coveted Engineers through competitive exams held each year by Union Public Service Commission. For this, a combined competitive examination is conducted by the UPSC.

The test is conducted in June every year at centres across India, namely: Agartala, Ahmedabad, Aizwal, Allahabad, Bangalore, Bareilly, Bhopal, Chandigarh, Chennai, Cuttack, Delhi, Dharwar, Dispur (Guwahati), Gangtok, Hyderabad, Imphal, Itanagar, Jaipur, Jammu, Jorhat, Kochi, Kohima, Kolkata, Lucknow, Madurai, Mumbai, Nagpur, Panaji (Goa), Patna, Port Blair, Raipur, Sambalpur, Shillong, Simla, Srinagar,
Thiruvananthapuram, Tirupati, Udaipur,Ranchi
(Jharkhand) and Vishakapatnam.
There are two parts of Indian Engineering Services written exam, Objective Papers of 600 marks and Conventional Papers of 400 marks ie total 1000 marks.

Beside it there is personality test of 200 marks. IES exam total carries 1200 marks. Objective Papers consist of three papers each carrying 200 marks of two hour duration. Here first paper is of General Ability Test divided in two parts-General English and General Studies and last two papers are from your chosen Engineering subjects.

The Maoist Empire: Balance Sheet & Its Subsidaries

Is Indian Government Approach towards Maoist Will End War?

In one of the deadliest attacks in Chhattisgarh, Maoists claimed the lives of 75 policemen including a superintendent of police.According to the reports, the attack took place when 120 CRPF personnel were returning from a road opening duty in the Naxalite-infested Mukrana forest.
Over 1,000 Maoists reportedly fired at the jawans from hill tops.Though suddenly overwhelmed by a heavily armed force of Maoists, the CRPF men who were caught in a brutal ambush on Tuesday,April 06 did not go down meekly. The encounter raged for a couple of hours and the men fell one by one till a clutch of injured survivors ran out of ammunition.
Now,From Where They Are Getting Money.So,for That I am Compiling Data With Indepth Analysis From TOI..................

A yearly turnover in excess of Rs 1,500 crore. Targets raised by 15% every year, investments here, cutbacks there, acquisitions made, salaries paid, perks for the star performers...That’s the mid-sized corporation called the Maoist empire.
Every paisa of it comes from extortion, drugs, looting, ransom and robbery. In states where the rebels’ writ runs, each sack of potatoes, every truck consignment, every government salary has a price. In Jharkhand, for instance, the going rate is Rs 5 per sack of vegetables and Rs 1 crore per acre of poppy farm.
The annual turnover of the Maoists matches or even exceeds that of companies such as Exide, CESC or Hindustan Motors. According to intelligence agencies, Bihar, Jharkhand and Andhra Pradesh contribute around 40% of the total revenue. Most of the Maoist takings – Rs 300 crore to Rs 400 crore – comes from mineral-rich Jharkhand. Ten per cent comes from backward Orissa. Bengal, where the Maoists are in consolidation-and-expansion mode, isn’t particularly cash-rich but is allotted the bulk of the investment portfolio. The rebels extort crores even from Maharashtra, Karnataka and Tamil Nadu where they don’t have much of a hold.
