Total No.Of Employees:
The company's total employee strength stood at 1.13 lakh on March 31, 2010 which includes 1.06 lakh software professionals, 8,880 trainees and 6,932 sales & support staff.
Salaries paid:
According to reports, Infosys paid $134 million (nearly Rs 600 crore) in salaries in 2009-10 -- the highest amount in the IT industry's history in India in a year.
The company recently announced a salary hike of 14-17 per cent for all Indian employees, with effect from April 1. In case of overseas employees, the effective salary hike will be in the range of two-three per cent.

Promotions:
Nearly 7,500 people were promoted by Infosys during the past year, out of whom 2,500 got impacted by the company's new employee restructuring programme called I-Race.
iRace actually led to 4,500 demotions in October 2009. Of the 4,500 employees demoted after the introduction of iRace, nearly 2,500 have been given promotion (effective April 2010) while the remaining have reportedly been retained at the same level.

Rejected 94% job seekers:
In the last fiscal (2009-10), Infosys got over 4 lakh job applications and rejected a whopping 94% of them.
The company stated that out of these, around 77,000 applicants underwent written test, approximately 61,000 were interviewed and 26,200 job offers were made in the last fiscal. This means that the company made employment offers to nearly 6 per cent of the total applications received.
